Birmingham Tech Week 2026 is underway. It runs from 19 to 23 October under this year’s theme, “Fast Forward”, with events at venues across the city. The festival is run by TechWM and brings together founders, investors, business leaders and innovators from across the West Midlands and beyond.
On Thursday 22 October, Jensten Insurance Brokers will be sponsoring and exhibiting at the ScaleUp Summit 2026 at The Studio on Cannon Street, Birmingham, from 10:00 to 16:00.
About the ScaleUp Summit
The ScaleUp Summit is aimed at founders and leadership teams whose businesses have grown beyond startup stage. Sessions cover the practical side of growth, including scaling operations, leadership, investment readiness, AI-enabled growth and international expansion.
The day has two zones:
- Investment Zone: founder showcases, investor insight sessions and networking for startups and growth-stage businesses.
- Growth Zone: support for scaling tech companies preparing for Series A, from building foundations through to investment and beyond.
Why we’re there
As tech businesses grow, their risks change too. New contracts, more staff, new markets and investment rounds can all affect what cover a business needs. Our Technology, Media, Cyber & Sciences team works with tech and life sciences businesses, and the ScaleUp Summit is a good opportunity to meet founders and hear what’s on their minds as they grow.
Judging at the Tech Awards
Birmingham Tech Week closes on Friday 23 October with the Black Tie Dinner & Tech Awards at The ICC, Birmingham, from 7pm. We’re pleased to be judging the Tech Leader of the Year category, recognising the people leading tech businesses across the West Midlands. Good luck to everyone shortlisted.
