What Is Activity Leisure Insurance?
As you have probably experienced, arranging insurance as a business in the activity leisure sector can be difficult, costly and time consuming.
This is where we can help. We take pride in obtaining competitive and comprehensive policies for our clients, regardless of the activities they offer.
We see that Public and Employers Liability is a main concern but cover for equipment and stock can be equally as important. Combined Policies also offer covers such as Business Interruption and Commercial Legal Expenses, we can guide you through these.
Regarding other separate policies, Directors & Officers or Cyber for Example, we can advise you on the exposures your business faces and the covers available to protect you against the financial impact these can have.

Outdoor Activity Insurance
Many insurers avoid covering these businesses altogether and some insurers offer policies that are just not practical. One main issue we see is insurers picking and choosing which of the activities they will cover, 4×4 Driving is acceptable but Axe Throwing is not, for example.
We will only arrange policies which will help to provide cover for all of your business activities. We also understand that you may offer a range of activities, including some which may at first at first glance seem quite risky. This does not phase us.
We will take time to understand each of the activities you offer. We will also look at the Risk Assessments you have carried out to identify risks, the precautions you have put in place to stop accidents from occurring, and other supporting Health and Safety Documents such as incident logbooks. We will then present these to insurers to show your business in the best light and give you the best chance of securing a competitive quotation.

Trampoline, Skatepark and Rink Insurance
Because of the level of hazardous activities and the average age of the participants, some insurers deem these venues as too dangerous and will not insure them.
We work with a number of insurers that have a more accurate view of the extent of danger presented by these activities, which are happy to provide cover.
Our policies can include cover for scooters, roller/ice skates, BMX bikes or equivalent as standard.
Additional activities such as fitness classes, mini skate classes and trampoline volley-ball do not present any significant concerns and we will discuss how to cover these.
We can also arrange cover for mobile operations such as Christmas Ice Rinks.

Soft Play Insurance
Some insurers are hesitant to provide cover for soft play centres due to the concern of young children being allowed to run riot, at height, down slides etc. As specialist in this field, we at Jensten know this cannot be further form the truth.
The specialised manufacture, installation and use of dedicated play equipment paired with regular inspections and risk assessments show that soft play centres are as safe as other leisure venues.
This is how we will present your case to insurer, although please bear in mind we work with a few insurer that are familiar and comfortable with this industry, so this short be a short and pain free process.
