Our current core product range comprises a professional indemnity and a commercial shop insurance product, which are exclusive to Numark Insurance Services. We underwrite these in-house and issue your policy documents to ensure a prompt quotation service.

Whilst we recognise that in the current tough financial climate it is often necessary to economise; we also know that it’s not just about saving money which is why the products we offer are backed by insurers who are focused on achieving claims outcomes that suit your needs.

We also benefit from being part of the Jensten Insurance Group, enabling us to offer a wide range of other complimentary products including fleet, cyber liability, commercial and residential property owner insurance.

Professional indemnity insurance

This is the cornerstone of our insurance offering as it is fundamental to your ability to trade as a pharmacy. An increasing number of Numark members have been choosing us to arrange their cover, as we offer a product designed around the core dispensing and patient services provided by Community Pharmacy.

Our professional indemnity product includes:

£10 million limit of indemnity annually
Public liability cover included in the limit
No excess to pay in the event of a claim
Cover is for all directors and staff. No charge for Retroactive cover (if needed)
Run-off cover included
Cover available for Independent prescribing and phlebotomy

Legal expenses insurance:

Packaged with your professional indemnity insurance is a legal expenses policy which provides legal defence costs up to £100,000 per claim to include cover for:

Employment tribunal cost and awards (where the insurer agrees you are likely to be successful in defending)
Fitness to practise
Contract and debt recovery
Personal injury
Counselling service
Access to telephone based commercial legal helpline
On-line dedicated legal services web site with document templates – many of which are free to download

Employers’ Liability Insurance:

Stock and Contents to your required level (Refrigerated Stock limited to £5,000 per location)
Tenants Improvements cover (with the first £7000 included free of charge)
Money on premises up to £4,000 during business hours or in a locked safe
£1 million of business interruption cover over 24 months automatically included following material damage claims to the premises (e.g. fire or flood)
Buildings or property owner’s cover if required

Pharmacy Shop Insurance:

It’s not just professional indemnity where you can benefit as a Numark member. We recognise that running a pharmacy also means that you are running a retail business and need to protect your assets and revenue. Our pharmacy commercial shop insurance product is designed to cover your primary business insurance requirements.

Claims Assistance:

We understand how difficult it can be when faced with a major property claim, and so, packaged with our Shop product is a personal loss adjusting service from a professional loss adjuster. This provides you with up to 20 hours of the loss adjusters time in the event of a major claim to help you achieve the best settlement possible with the least amount of inconvenience.
